Amy is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her undergraduate nursing degree from Mississippi University for Women and her Masters of Science in Nursing from University of Mississippi Medical Center, specializing in psychiatry. Practicing in Mississippi, San Francisco, and Houston, Amy has experience with a wide variety of ethnicities, backgrounds, and cultures.
She appreciates the importance of the patient-clinician relationship, creating a safe and non-judgmental environment to facilitate healing. With 7 years of psychiatric experience, she has treated patients with acute and chronic depression, anxiety and panic, ADHD, bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and psychosis, among others. She uses both pharmacological and nonpharmacological treatment modalities to care for her patients, seeing them as a whole person rather than a list of symptoms.
